The benefits of Induction lighting is that it uses much less energy than High Intensity Discharge light fittings (MH & SON fittings with magnetic ballasts) and Induction lights produce more light output due to a high Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT) of 5000 K and excellent Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of >80 Ra.
Induction lighting has a very long expected lamp life of around 90,000 hours (70% efficiency @60,000 hours) and are ideal for high, inaccessible areas (e.g. warehouses, atriums, dairy farms, sport halls, aircraft hangers, retail warehouses) or continuous areas of operation (e.g. manufacturing plants, chillers, food processing, tunnels, quarries, heat treatment plants) because the lamps don’t have to be changed so often and they operate extremely well in cold or hot environments, -40oC up to +80oC depending on model.
